With energy prices being a major concern for all companies, many have chosen to utilise their roof space and install a PV system to help mitigate this expense.

To ensure your forklift and AGV’s operate in a reliable and environmentally friendly manner, Fronius offer a solution to charge your fleet using intelligent charging hardware and software.

Fronius Selectiva 4.0 chargers already utilise a patented charging protocol, Ri, that can reduce your energy usage by up to 30% but, when this is coupled with PV Connect, the energy savings and ROI of a PV system can be further improved.

PV Connect is a feature available with Fronius’ cloud-based software, Charge & Connect. Instead of purchasing expensive energy from the grid, PV Connect uses accurate weather and PV yield forecasting which allows a fleet manager to plan and synchronise when a truck is charged inline with the PV systems peak generation hours. 

Easy configuration

Activating PV Connect is easy – you just need a Fronius battery charger connected to your Charge & Connect account and a PV system.

When combined with the load balancing charging algorithm, you are able to adjust the charging processes based on the availability of PV energy and specify when the self-generated energy will be used. This also reduces load spikes and your reliance on energy providers.
